In the Beginning

I grew up in a military family that moved a lot, with the school locations changing every year. I was born in Sasebo, in Nagasaki Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan. My middle name Izumi is from my Japanese mother Michiko. My last name Ellsworth is from my English American father Donald, who was stationed there at the Navy base.
